About Me

As a child, I was fascinated by pregnancy and birth.
Blessed to be the daughter of an OB nurse, and with avid home-birthing neighbors, I witnessed my first birth at the age of 8.
The passing years have continued to be full of "chance" encounters with pregnancy and birth through friends and family. I have been called upon for support, encourage-
ment, and advice during the most amazing moments in
the lives of many women and their partners! Now, as an adult, I feel my calling is to pursue a life of nurturing
women and babies.

I am educated in lactation and breastfeeding, experienced with both homebirths and waterbirths as well as hospital births, and continuing my education in massage, pressure point, and aroma therapies. I am also working toward my nursing degree, on the path to becoming a midwife.

I have a large personal library of books you are able to check out for a refundable deposit, to foster your personal interest in your labor, birth, and baby.

Upon receipt of deposit for my services, I will be on call for you 24hrs a day. We will have at least 2 pre-labor visits, to get acquainted with you and what you desire from me as your doula and what you desire from your birth experience. During labor and birth, I provide any and all comfort measures, which include knowledge of position changes, emotional support, comforting touch, massage, and partner/family guidance. After birth, I can assist you with your first breastfeeding moments, questions, concerns, and even family photos!

My goal is for us to be a team during the last days of your pregnancy, your many moments in labor, and the joy that will be your birth experience!
