As a child, I was fascinated by pregnancy and birth. The years have continued to be full of "by chance" encounters with pregnancy and birth through friends and family. I have been called upon for support, encouragement and advice during the most amazing moments in the lives of women and their partners.

As an adult, I know my calling is to pursue a life in the care of women and babies. In 2008, I trained to become a Certified Birth Doula through DONA International, became a Certified Breastfeeding Educator and went back to school to peruse my RN.

In 2009, I experienced the birth of my twins. I employed the power and comfort of a Birth Doula and HypnoBirthing^® techniques. I had a successful unmedicated birth and feel even more equipped to offer support to families through such an amazing journey.

In September 2011, I became a certified HypnoBirthing^® Educator where my goal is to offer women an opportunity to obtain the skills for a gentler birth [with or without intervention] free from fear and tension.

I am currently a Nursing student on my path to becoming a Midwife.

I have a large personal library of books you are able to check out for a refundable deposit, to foster your personal interest in your labor, birth, and baby.

Upon receipt of deposit for my services, I will be on call for you 24hrs a day. We will have at least 2 pre-labor visits, to get acquainted with you and what you desire from me as your doula and what you desire from your birth experience. During labor and birth, I provide any and all comfort measures, which include knowledge of position changes, emotional support, comforting touch, massage, and partner/family guidance. After birth, I can assist you with your first breastfeeding moments, questions, concerns, and even family photos!

My goal is for us to be a team during the last days of your pregnancy, your many moments in labor, and the joy that will be your birth experience!
